Because of the war with the British and Americans the British government had to barrow money from Dutch bankers to finance their wars.

King Henry III has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspend in their operation until his assent should be obtained and when so suspend he has utterly neglected to them. He cut of trade with all parts. Imposed taxes without Americans consent. He refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation.

July 4th, 1776 annocunced that they one the war with Great Britian. They are now a indpendent state and no longer apart of the British Empire. Which leads to the Decleration of Indpendence which was also approved by congress on July 4th.

Explain why the Americans wanted independence from Britian?

The Americans wanted independence from Britain because the Colonist started raising taxes, the average Britain had a tax bill for fifty times greater then the average American!!!
